One of the most important contemporary Canadian artists of her generation, Betty Goodwin first drew attention at the beginning of the Seventies with her remarkable etchings. In addition to the important body of work she produced in the area of printmaking, her oeuvre includes an imposing number of drawings, sculpture and installation pieces. However, her most significant and celebrated contribution remains the spectacular drawings she has done over the last thirty years, notably her large scale Swimmers series.
